Difference Between RAM 1500 RAM & RAM 1500 Classic

Difference Between RAM 1500 RAM & RAM 1500 Classic

Many truck enthusiasts love the RAM pickup truck for its exceptional towing and hauling capabilities. The Ram is known for its iconic and powerful HEMI engine which gives the truck its impressive performance. With its exceptional features and powerful performance, it is no wonder why the Ram 1500 is one of the best-selling pickup trucks in North America.

There are two popular variations in the RAM 1500 lineup and that is the RAM 1500 and the RAM 1500 Classic and easily compare with the F-150s. Both of these trucks are impressive and provide the driver with a lot of premium performance features. Both of these trucks look very similar at first glance and some people have a hard time figuring out the difference between these two trucks.

To cut down on any confusion that there may be about the 1500 and the 1500 Classic, we will do a comparison of the two trucks to illustrate exactly how the RAM 1500 is different from the RAM Classic.

Exterior

The 2019 RAM is redesigned 1500 to give it a more modern and sporty look to it. The Ram 1500 was specially designed to be more aerodynamic than its predecessor. And the innovative tailgate gives the truck a more futuristic look. The tailgate is the first of its kind to open in a 60/40 slipt. Owners can choose to open the tailgate in the barn-door style, or they can close the two sections together and have it open and close like a traditional tailgate.

The RAM 1500 Classic has a more rugged and traditional look to the exterior. The body of the 1500 Classic is outlined in smooth curves that lead to a wide grille that helps the truck to look more aggressive and tough. For a more unique style, RAM also offers the RAM 1500 Classic Blackout. This special edition trim features a black body, 20-inch semi-gloss black aluminum wheels, a full black front fascia with a black grille, and a black rear bumper.

Interior Features

The inside of the RAM 1500 was built for style and comfort. The 1500 features genuine leather and wood trim throughout the cabin. And the rear seats recline to ensure that the backseat passengers are able to stay comfortable even on long trips. The 1500 also offers an available centre console that is able to fold back to reveal a flat surface that is able to double as a work station and is complete with a USB charging port.

The RAM 1500 Classic's interior has a simpler styling. However, it still has all of the modern conveniences, including a 7-inch digital and customizable instruments cluster, Dual-Zone Automatic Temperature Control, available heating steering wheel, and a 12-volt auxiliary outlet that allows you to charge your mobile devices and laptops.
