Jeep Launches Three New Plug-In Hybrid SUVs

There is no denying that the Jeep Wrangler, Jeep Compass, and Jeep Renegade are some of the most impressive SUVs on the market. They perfectly combine style with versatility and come equipped with several advanced features. This year, Jeep has announced that it will these three already impressive SUVs up a notch by giving them a plug-in hybrid option. The three new plug-in hybrids are expected to be available by 2022, and many fans are already excited to see how the new hybrid models will stand up to the competition.
The Tough and Rugged Jeep Wrangler
The 2020 Jeep Wrangler already has introduced a few new mild-hybrid engine options to help this off-roading SUV become even more fuel-efficient than ever before. This year, the Sahara models will offer the new 3.6-litre Pentastar V6 engine that is mated to an 8-speed automatic transmission and comes equipped with eTorque Mild-Hybrid technology.
The 2020 Wrangler also offers a 2.0-litre, 4-cylinder engine that is paired to an 8-speed automatic transmission and is able to produce up to 270 horsepower and 295 lb-ft of torque. This motor is both powerful and fuel-efficient when paired with the eTorque system that is available on the Sahara models.
The other engine option is also very powerful and fuel-efficient. The standard 3.6-litre V6 engine with Engine Start-Stop Technology is mated to a 6-speed automatic transmission and is able to produce up to 285 horsepower and 260 lb-ft of torque.

The interior features high-end material and state-of-the-art technology to bring you a luxurious and convenient driving experience. The spacious interior is capable of seating up to five adults comfortably and the dual-pane sunroof provides passengers with a stunning view of the outside world.
The new plug-in hybrid model combines a powerful battery with the already dependable engine to create an extraordinary driving experience. The Compass PHEV has a pure electric range of 50 kilometres and has a maximum speed of 130 km/h.
The Stylish and Versatile Jeep Renegade
The Renegade has a spacious and luxurious interior and a rugged and athletic exterior. The 2020 Renegade Trailhawk offers the best-in-class 4x4 capabilities which include a 21:1 crawl ratio, exceptional ground clearance, the Selec-Terrain Traction Management system with Rock Mode, and Hill Descent Control.
Like the Compass, the Renegade PHEV will have a pure electric range of 50 kilometres, which is perfect for cruising around the city streets. The Renegade PHEV's powerful hybrid system will allow the SUV to go from 0 to 100 km in about 7 seconds. It will also have a pure-electric top speed of 130 km/h as well.
