2020 Jeep Gladiator vs. 2020 Ford Raptor

2020 Jeep Gladiator vs. 2020 Ford Raptor

The mid-size pickup truck class is filled with well-known manufacturers and models that combine unique style with quiet convenience. Because of this, it is sometimes hard to determine which truck will fit a driver's needs. Two of the sharpest options on the market today are the 2020 Jeep Gladiator and the 2020 Ford Raptor.

2020 Jeep Gladiator

The Jeep Gladiator is a brand-new model introduced in 2020. After more than 25 years away, Jeep jumped back into the truck division with this excellent off-roading specimen. The Gladiator offers a comfortable interior, Jeep's legendary off-road prowess, and two spacious rows of comfortable seats. It comes standard with such safety features as a back-up camera, airbags, electronic stability control with hill start assist, and more.

The 2020 Jeep Gladiator comes in three different model variations: Sport S, Overland, and Rubicon. The lowest-priced Gladiator Sport S starts at $43,876 and features a 3.6-litre Pentastar V6 engine with start/stop technology. It offers 285 horsepower, 260 lb-ft of torque, and 3,469 kg of towing ability. Each model comes with the same 3.6-litre engine with 4x4 capability in either a manual or automatic transmission. Each model also features a Uconnect multimedia centre with touchscreen controls.

2020 Ford Raptor

For those who want to live on the edge, the 2020 Ford F-150 Raptor offers high-output for all off-road adventures. It offers extraordinary capability, beginning with the 24-valve, 3.5-litre twin-turbo HO EcoBoost engine. It provides best-in-class 450 horsepower and 510 lb-ft of torque. For off-roading, the Raptor offers Trail Control, FOX live valve monotube shocks, and more.

The 2020 Ford F-150 Raptor has a price tag that is not for the faint of heart. It starts around $54,000 and can climb as high as $80,000 depending on the packages and accessories added. The Raptor offers seating for five people and comes standard with numerous safety features, such as a rear-view camera and roll stability control.

The 2020 Jeep Gladiator and the 2020 Ford F-150 Raptor are both mid-sized trucks, but they look and act very differently. The Gladiator offers the ability to remove the top and doors, similar to a Jeep Wrangler but keeping the ability to haul items in the truck bed. It offers Jeep's extraordinary off-road capability and handling. It presents itself just as it is - a fun and unique driving experience.

The Ford Raptor acts more like a standard truck than a unique off-roading legend. It offers maximum towing and hauling capability, as well as more get up and go than the Gladiator. Both vehicles have their advantages and disadvantages, but if someone wants true off-road capability as well as a fun driving experience no matter the location, the 2020 Jeep Gladiator is the right vehicle choice.
